RAM Rampage 2024
We received one of the most significant missions in Stellantis South America's history: to develop the complete visual content for the launch of the RAM Rampage — the first RAM pickup truck developed outside the United States. Over a month of intense production, our team created approximately 80 100% CGI images, encompassing exterior compositions, interior images, environments, and hand-drawn concept sketches, totaling 4 versions of the vehicle.

The entire pipeline was developed in-house at ÍCON: cameras and compositions in Autodesk 3DS Max, texturing, volumetrics, and rendering in Chaos Corona, and final post-production in Adobe Photoshop. Each image was carefully crafted to communicate the Rampage's positioning — toughness, versatility, and a visual identity unlike anything else in its segment. The ultimate testament to the project's success: virtually all of the images produced by ÍCON were used on the official RAM Rampage launch website in Brazil.

For the RAM Rampage interior images, adopted a hybrid approach that combines the best of both worlds: the vehicle's interior was fully developed in CGI — with precise modeling of seats, dashboard, upholstery, materials, and finishing details — while the background was composed of real photographs, carefully selected and seamlessly integrated into the scene. This technique demands a high level of precision in the compositing process, ensuring that the lighting from the photographic environment is faithfully reproduced in the CGI elements, creating an imperceptible fusion between digital and real-world components. The result is a set of interior images with rich detail, visual authenticity, and a realism that goes beyond what pure CGI or conventional photography could deliver on their own.
