Nissan Frontier Platinum 2024
For Nissan Brazil, ICON Design produced two full CGI films of 30 seconds each for the Frontier Platinum, the top-of-the-line version of the pickup truck. The project was developed across two distinct scenarios, each crafted to showcase a specific set of the vehicle's features and capabilities. The entire production — environments, lighting, materials, and animations — was built entirely in CGI, ensuring complete creative freedom and precision in presenting every detail of the Platinum trim. The result is a pair of cinematic films that clearly communicate the premium positioning of the model.

Rear Cross-Traffic Alert System
One of the most challenging and strategically important shots in the project was the demonstration of the Frontier Platinum's Rear Cross-Traffic Alert system. Reproducing this functionality in a conventional live-action shoot would be highly complex, requiring additional vehicles, traffic control, very specific environmental conditions, and multiple takes — making the production costly, risky, and difficult to replicate. In CGI, all of this control happens with precision and safety: vehicles were precisely positioned, camera angles were defined, the system's visual indicators were activated, and every element of the scene was adjusted with complete creative freedom. The result is a clean, informative, and cinematic shot that communicates the feature clearly without compromising the brand's visual appeal.

Intelligent Automatic Headlights
Another technically complex shot was the demonstration of the Frontier Platinum's intelligent automatic headlights. Capturing this feature in a live-action production would require very specific ambient lighting conditions — such as a day-to-night transition or entering a tunnel — along with multiple takes to capture the system's automatic activation at the precise moment. In CGI, this control is absolute: it was possible to accurately simulate environmental light variations, define the exact moment the headlights activate, and adjust the intensity and behavior of the light in real time. This freedom made it possible to create an informative and visually impactful shot that demonstrates the system's intelligence clearly and elegantly, without relying on unpredictable external conditions.
