Nissan Kicks 2022
Nissan Brazil brought to our team the task of presenting the new Kicks model year in a Japanese look-alike city. We picked some of the most famous Tokyo’s skyscrapers such as the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building and the Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower, and began the process of modeling all of them to create “our own little Tokyo”, then we were able to create takes of the Kicks 2022 driving through it. For the takes that show the car parked, the environment is based around a nice classic Japanese-style square aesthetic.
Nissan Brazil

For Nissan Brazil, we developed one of the most creative and technically ambitious projects in our portfolio: cinematic videos of the Nissan Kicks 2022 set in a Japanese-inspired city, built entirely in 3D. The brief was clear — present the new Kicks model year in a Japanese aesthetic setting — and our answer was to create our very own version of Tokyo from scratch.
We modeled some of the most iconic skyscrapers of the Japanese capital, including the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and the Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower, building a dense, detailed, and visually striking urban environment piece by piece. In the driving sequences, the Kicks moves through the streets of this custom Tokyo with cinematic fluidity; in the parked scenes, the vehicle is set against a beautiful classic Japanese-style square, creating an elegant contrast between the modern and the traditional.
The entire project was rendered in Unreal Engine — with compositing, animation, camera work, texturing, and rendering fully integrated within the engine — and finalized in post-production using DaVinci Resolve. In total, 4 distinct locations, 2 vehicle versions, over 5,000 frames rendered, and 200GB of project data, delivering a result with the quality of an international cinematic production.
